Introduction to Contemplative Practices

A Lenten Journey of Discernment through Contemplative Practice

Lent invites us into a season of discernment—a sacred time to slow down, listen more deeply, and notice where God is at work in our lives. In a world that often urges quick answers and constant motion, this class creates space to pause, breathe, and be present with God in times of uncertainty and transition.

Together, we will explore contemplative practices that support discernment and attentiveness to God’s presence, including Taizé worship, labyrinth walking, Lectio Divina, Station of the Cross, and quiet meditation. These practices are gentle ways of learning to listen with the heart, trust the unfolding path, and rest in God’s steady love.

Schedule:

First Gathering: Monday, February 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Spiritual Life Room

Following Weeks: Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in the Spiritual Life Room
