Summary
Our Lent Groups are small, intentional spaces to be known, to listen, to ask honest questions, and to learn and grow with one another. As we journey alongside our sermon series, “Behold: Words from the Suffering,” we’ll sit with the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection through the voices of those who witnessed Holy Week in real time — and we’ll make room for how that story meets us here and now.

Summary
UMCOR Sunday is one of six churchwide Special Sundays designated to support ministries and causes important to the entire United Methodist Church. On this day, we support the United Methodist Committee on Relief—better known as UMCOR—the disaster response and humanitarian relief agency of our church. Special Sundays give us a chance to focus our prayers and support on important ministries all year long—uniting our gifts to multiply our impact. Your generosity helps the Church be prepared before disaster strikes—and able to stay for the long haul afterward. It supports behind-the-scenes work that makes on-the-ground response possible. Some of the major areas UMCOR serves include: U.S. Disaster Response: Helps communities in the U.S. recover after floods, fires, tornadoes, and more. International Disaster Response: Offers emergency food, shelter, hygiene kits, and support after global crises. Global Migration: Assists vulnerable refugees and migrants with necessities, legal aid, and safety. Environmental Sustainability: Partners with churches to care for the earth and prepare for eco-disasters. Yambasu Agriculture Initiative: Trains and equips churches in Africa to improve food security and self-sufficiency.

Summary
A Lenten Journey of Discernment through Contemplative Practice Lent invites us into a season of discernment—a sacred time to slow down, listen more deeply, and notice where God is at work in our lives. In a world that often urges quick answers and constant motion, this class creates space to pause, breathe, and be present with God in times of uncertainty and transition. Together, we will explore contemplative practices that support discernment and attentiveness to God’s presence, including Taizé worship, labyrinth walking, Lectio Divina, Station of the Cross, and quiet meditation. These practices are gentle ways of learning to listen with the heart, trust the unfolding path, and rest in God’s steady love. Schedule: First Gathering: Monday, February 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Spiritual Life Room Following Weeks: Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in the Spiritual Life Room Who This Is For: For those in a season of discernment, transition, or uncertainty For those feeling weary, overwhelmed, or in need of grounding For those grieving, seeking clarity, or longing to reconnect with God For parents, young adults, and seekers who desire space for reflection and stillness What to Expect: Thoughtful guidance into contemplative practices that nurture discernment and presence A welcoming space for beginners and experienced practitioners alike A compassionate community where questions are honored and silence is embraced Come as you are—no preparation required, only a willingness to slow down and listen. Two campuses. One heart. One voice. Join us for a powerful United Night of Worship as our Midtown and North Indy Contemporary Worship communities come together for an unforgettable evening of praise, prayer, and the presence of God.This special night will be led by Joel Ogburn, Director of Contemporary Worship at North Indy, and Beck Buchanan-Schwanke, Director of Contemporary Worship at Midtown, alongside our combined worship teams and band. When we gather across spaces and styles with one shared purpose, something beautiful happens — walls come down, voices rise up, and we are reminded that we are one church, united in Christ. Expect passionate worship, meaningful moments of prayer, and space to simply be with God. Whether you attend Midtown or North Indy — or you’re new to St. Luke’s — this is a night for all of us. Let’s fill the room with gratitude. Let’s lift one song together. Let’s worship as one church. We can’t wait to see you there.
