EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 4

Easter celebrates Jesus’ triumph over death. His Resurrection is the good news of Christian tradition. Join us as we celebrate the good news of our victory through Jesus. In order to accommodate 50% capacity, seating in the Sanctuary will be available in each row in the Sanctuary and the Chapel. If you prefer additional space between family unit, every other row seating is available in the balcony in the Sanctuary or on the outside rows in the Chapel.

KIDS CHURCH

8 AM | Nursery (infant to age 3)

9:30 AM | Nursery to Pre-K; K-4th: check into classrooms upon arrival

11 AM | Nursery to Pre-K; K-4th: check-in, go to "big church" with their parents/guardians for the first 10 minutes then staff and volunteers will escort them to Great Hall for activities, worship, and a lesson.

"Busy bags" will be available for children worshiping with their family. Parents, watch this video for detailed info.

SPONSOR AN EASTER LILY

Each year Easter lilies fill the Sanctuary and Chapel for Easter Sunday. You can dedicate an Easter Lily in honor or memory of a loved one(s). You will be asked to provide your information as well as the name(s) of the person(s) you are dedicating the lily to. The suggested donation to dedicate a lily is at least $10 which will offset the cost of the lily.

Lent is the 40 days leading up to Easter. Lent begins on February 17th, which was Ash Wednesday. Throughout the Lenten season, St. Luke's is using The Good And Beautiful Life book by James Bryan Smith as a focus in our Sunday morning series. We invite you to join us on Sunday mornings or even in a small group as we go through this book each week.

Palm Sunday | Sunday, March 28

Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy Week (the Sunday before Easter) and is celebrated as Jesus’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem. As He entered the city, people cut palm branches, waved them in the air, and laid them on the ground before Jesus as He rode into the city on a donkey. The palm branches represented goodness and were symbolic of the final victory He would soon fulfill over death. We invite you to join with us in waving the palm branch from your Lent-at-home kit during this service.

Holy Thursday | Thursday, April 1

In-Person and Online | 7PM

Holy Thursday is also referred to as Maundy Thursday. Maundy Thursday is the Thursday before Easter and is celebrated in commemoration of the Last Supper. The word “maundy” is derived from the Latin word for command, and is a reference to Jesus’ commandment to the disciples to “love one another as I have loved you.” We will celebrate Holy Communion in this service, as we honor Jesus’ life and sacrifice. We invite you to join us in taking Communion at home during the service.

Good Friday | Friday, April 2

In-Person | 12PM
Online | 12PM, 7PM 

Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus and His death on the cross. The word “good” can be interpreted as “holy.” The death of Jesus led to His Resurrection and victory over sin, and leads us to the celebration of Easter. This service is traditionally a service of darkness, we invite you to darken the room in which you are watching and to set out the nails from your Lent-at-home kit.
