Did you know that August is Make-A-Will month? A will is one of the best ways to leave a lasting legacy that reflects your values and beliefs. I encourage you to review your will this month, and update it if necessary. Or create a will if you have not already done so. I hope you will also consider including a bequest to St. Luke’s in your will so that the church can continue to help people find and give hope through Jesus Christ.
In November 2023 St. Luke’s held its first Legacy Society dinner to recognize and thank 51 families who have included St. Luke’s in their estate plans. We will be holding our second annual Legacy Society dinner on November 3, 2024. If you have included the church in your estate plans, but have not shared that information with me, please let me know so that we can add your name to the growing list of Legacy Society members and invite you to this year’s recognition dinner.
Please call me (317.399.6202) or email me (David.Heetland@gmail.com) if you have included the church in your estate plans or if you want more information. As a Certified Financial Planner I am available to assist you in your planning or to answer any questions you may have. I also encourage you to visit our planned giving website, stlukeslegacy.com, to see the current list of Legacy Society members, to read the stories of what prompted them to include the church in their estate plans, to learn more about wills and what to give, and to request an estate planning guide.
