As a Visual Designer at St. Luke’s UMC, you are a strategic thinker and designer, eager to help our members and our community gain insights through clear, creative, and compelling communications. You are a team player who is ministry-minded, organized, and open to feedback; you are capable of listening, understanding needs and meeting those needs through the development of creative and visual solutions. Collaboration with fellow team members to solve design problems and meet project requirements using type, color, space, and imagery is essential. 

Primary responsibilities include administrative, and project management support for the Pastor of Care and Contemplation Department. Coordinate, support, and execute systems for the team. Offer pastoral support and care to congregation, community, and staff as needed. Reports directly to the Pastor of Care and Contemplation, related to the Director of Visitation. 

This position serves St. Luke’s United Methodist Church to lead and support the current software application technologies and integration of new software. This role will work to improve current ministry areas process, tools, and technology. The goal is to create an environment in which the church staff and volunteers can efficiently and effectively serve the congregation and the ministries.

This is a unique position that supports the entire KIDS team and leads the Kids Ministry program implementation at St. Luke’s Midtown campus. This role will provide both behind the scenes support to ensure KIDS ministry continues to thrive and grow as well as front-facing leadership to volunteers and families at Midtown. A typical work week will be Tuesday-Friday, and Sunday, with occasional additional weekend or evening events. Time will be shared between the North Indy and Midtown locations during the week with Sundays at the Midtown Campus.
