Kids

We partner with parents/guardians to raise children who trust God with their hearts, and follow Jesus with their lives. Here, kids ages infant through 4th grade will learn what it means to follow Jesus in an inclusive church setting. We want the time your child spends with us to be the best hour of their week.

North Indy: Sundays at 9:30 & 11AM

Adding to the Family?

Dear Parents-to-Be, as you await the arrival of your precious gift from God through birth or adoption, we're overjoyed with you! Please share your wonderful news with us so we can support you with prayers and assistance tailored to your needs. Let's celebrate this blessed transition together!

Mosaic Ministry

We embrace and nurture every child regardless of needs and abilities. Our Mosaic Ministry tailors teachings, groups, activities, and one-on-one time through volunteer buddies for kids who can benefit from some accommodation.

Baptism at St. Luke's

As one of two United Methodist Sacraments, baptism is a gift from God, given to remind us of the grace of Jesus Christ. Whether we are baptizing a child or an adult, we believe that God’s love for each person began before the foundations of the earth were laid.

Through baptism we affirm our role as the family of God in helping one another to know and walk in that love. We ask that parents attend a class prior to their child’s baptism in order to prepare for the commitment they are making, and to connect with other parents with whom they'll share their journey of faith and parenting. Please contact Amy Boles with any questions.

We prioritize the safety of our children. Safe Sanctuaries are the guidelines we follow to keep our kids and students safe. Your child's well-being is very important to us and we want to ensure we’re following every safety measure to ensure that.

Click here for the Safe Sanctuaries Policy and Procedures. Every volunteer 18 and older is required to pass a background check and complete a Safe Sanctuaries course before they’re approved to serve children and vulnerable adults at St. Luke's. In addition to security stickers, we also ensure that the nursery has at least one staff in each room who is trained in Infant and Pediatric First Aid/CPR and in each children's area outside of the nursery as well.

Snacks are not served in any classroom. We ask you to verify allergies when you sign your child in and make sure their allergies are printed on a sticker which is given to the volunteers in your child’s room.

When food is served on special occasions and when potential allergens are used during an activity, allergy signs will be posted to alert parents.

The simple answer, anywhere you’d like! We also have a unique, comfortable, and private location for nursing moms to feed babies while still watching the service on TV. Just ask us to show you where it is.

Yes! Every summer, we offer VBS to children up to those entering 4th grade. The theme changes every year to ensure your kids are learning something new and having fun. Make sure you receive the St. Luke's newsletter to stay up to date on all things Kids Ministry and St. Luke's related!

St. Luke’s is committed to working with families to ensure individuals of all ability levels feel supported and encouraged to grow in their faith. We have a buddy program for trained volunteers to partner with children who may benefit from extra support on Sunday mornings. We also have a small group for families raising children with special needs. This group meets once per month for meaningful discussions or fun outings. Childcare is always provided. Email Crystal Hensley if you are interested in more information about the small group, receiving support for your child with our buddy program, or volunteering as a buddy! Crystal can also be contacted to communicate any special requests or accommodations to church programming.

Each week we post new kids messages online that are tailored for your child's age. They can be accessed anytime during the week on our YouTube page.

Yes. As one of the few open, inclusive, affirming churches in Indianapolis, your child will be met with love and acceptance no matter how they identify. Jesus calls us to love and respect, and we will model that to every single child who walks through our doors.
